Like an exile I wandered in darkness of night,
Then you reached out to me and showed me your light.

Now the light of your love has set my soul free
And shown to me all of the joy life can be.

All of my life I've been searching for you.
All of my dreams are now coming true.

And the truth of the love that I see in your eyes
Gives my heart its true answer when in darkness it cries.

But the dark of my exile
Is dispelled by your sweet smile,
And glorious dawn shines anew.

I'm an exile no more,
For you've opened the door,
And shown the way home. . .
And it's you.
